This sunroom began with the pouring of a fresh concrete floor over an existing, deteriorating slab on the back of this residence. We erected framing that could accomodate conventional screening or installation of windows, depending on the choice of the customer, along with two rough openings for doors. The structure was secured into the house, and the shingled, gable style roof matched the style, pitch, and color of the main house. After several customer decisions, we added two skylights, installed several Simonton double-hung windows, installed Therma-Tru composite entry doors, and clad the exterior in wood siding. Several other features which enhanced the project included electical outlets, a ceiling fan, and a semi-circular window in the gable end wall. The customer applied the finishing touches by staining the siding to match the color of the house.
